Celebs star in online campaign urging young people to ‘Vote 4 Stuff’

A group of celebrities led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire want young people to “Vote 4 Stuff” this election year.

The nonpartisan campaign kicked off Monday with an online video asking young voters to use social media to share the issues they care most about in the election this year, some of which will be featured in the star-studded campaign.

“If you could vote for anything in the world,” the celebs ask, “what would it be?”

The A and B-listers then rattle off their own not-so-serious wish lists,

“Gays in the military — exclusively,” Sarah Silverman suggests.

“I vote yes on cats,” Benicio Del Toro says.

“Vote to keep tigers out of schools,” Zac Efron deadpans.

“I vote yes to anything that Zac Efron says,” Selena Gomez chimes in.

“Women should have the right to vote. They do? Ok, well that’s good,” Ellen DeGeneres jokes.

“I personally vote for more high fives,” Zac Efron says.

"It would be against the law to touch my stuff. Stop touching my stuff, Mom,” Jonah Hill demands. “You paid for it, but it's in my room."

“What stuff is important to you in the upcoming election?” asks DiCaprio, whose production company Appian Way, is behind the campaign.

“We should pay teachers — like, really pay them,” Joseph Gordon-Levitt says.

The celebrities then offer up a more serious list, including jobs, climate change, immigration, taxes, teacher pay and women’s reproductive health.

They urge young voters to create short videos and post tweets and photos about those issues and others.

“There is a simple way to have a voice on a lot of important issues,” Selena Gomez says in the “Vote 4 Stuff” campaign video.

“This is one of the most important elections of our lifetime,” DiCaprio told the AP. “We are using the power of social media throughout the Vote 4 Stuff campaign to incite bipartisan conversation around real issues, encourage registration and voting in November.''
