2 “Looper” Could a first-rate thriller make Oscar waves? At the very least, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis will show you a good time.

3 John le Carre Tribute (bam.org) You’ll find espionage aplenty at BAM this week, with le Carre adaptations including “The Spy Who Came in From the Cold.”

4 Classic Anniversaries (fathomevents.com) “E.T.” marks 30 years with theatrical screenings on Wednesday, and you’ll find “Lawrence of Arabia” — now 50 years old — on Thursday.

5 “Dial M for Murder” (filmforum.com) You didn’t think 3D was just for hacks, did you? Film Forum has Hitchcock’s thriller through Thursday.
