Set images from 'Robocop' remake show off new battle suit for hero

I’d buy a ticket to see that for a dollar!

Photographers captured the first glimpses from the Toronto set of the “Robocop” remake last week, revealing how Joel Kinnaman of “The Killing” measures up as the titular hero.

Decked out in a sleek gray battle suit that looks equal parts Christopher Nolan’s Batman and a refugee from “Tron: Legacy,” Kinnaman looks a lot more modern than his counterpart from the 1987 scif-fi classic.

Judging from some video footage leaked onto the Internet from the shoot, the cyborg crime-fighter also gets an upgraded set of wheels. The 32-year-old Swedish actor was seen riding off on Toronto’s Victoria Street on a black, ultramodern motorcycle.

Nice ride. The new Robocop has a stylish new motorcycle.

Directed by Jose Padilha, the remake has Kinnaman playing the role made famous by Peter Weller of mortally wounded Detroit cop Alex Murphy, who’s rebuilt to be put back in service.

Peter Weller's RoboCop look was a tad less... modern.

Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Jackie Earle Haley round out the cast.

Padilha is making his Hollywoood debut after garnering much industry buzz for directing 2007's "Elite Squad," a Brazilian crime drama that became a Berlin Film Festival winner.
