Movie News Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul to Star in Need for Speed COMMENTS (4) Posted by: Posted by: Posted by: Posted by: ADD COMMENTS

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that "Breaking Bad" and Smashed star Aaron Paul will star in the Need for Speed movie.

To be directed by Scott Waugh ( Act of Valor), the film is an adaptation of EA's popular video game franchise. The screenplay is based on the game series, but is not based on an individual game. The film adaptation will be a fast-paced, high-octane film rooted in the tradition of the great car culture films of the '70s while being extremely faithful to the spirit of the video game franchise.

"Need for Speed" is the premier racing game in the video game industry and one of EA's best-selling video game franchises. Since the release of the first title, the series has sold more than 140 million units worldwide, generating an estimated $4 billion in retail revenue, making it one of the biggest franchises in video gaming.

Filming is scheduled to being early next year for a February 7, 2014 release.

Total Film: The Modern Guide to The Movies First official image from Die Hard 5

Die Hard 5 (or, A Good Day To Die Hard, if we must) has revealed a first official still via Entertainment Weekly.

It’s hardly surprising that the father and son get-togethers of John McClane (Bruce Willis) and John (AKA Jack) McClane Jr feature plenty of heavy weaponry.

Jai Courtney plays the gun-toting cop’s offspring, and he at least looks the part. With his cropped hair and stocky build, it’s clear action-man antics run in the family.

Little is known about the plot, except for the fact that the pair find themselves in Russia, which will mark the first time in the series that McClane’s travelled outside of the US.

Courtney is probably best known for his role in TV’s Spartacus, but will next be seen in Jack Reacher.

A Good Day To Die Hard will open in the UK on 14 February 2013 (the ideal date movie!)
